Q: I bought something and it’s not in my inventory!! HELP!

A: Since all Nyte’N'Day products are no transfer - replacement isn’t a problem as long as I can confirm your transaction. However - there are some tips/tricks that may just find it without needing to contact me (Nyte Caligari).

a) Have you done a search within your inventory? Click that little box at the top of your inventory and type in “Nyte’N'Day”. This will bring up all products by me.
b) Have you cleared your cache and relogged? Sometimes sl just buggers up and your inventory simply doesn’t show correctly. To do this go to the Edit menu, preferences, network, clear cache. You’ll now have to relog for it to take effect.

If all this still doesn’t find your purchase then please contact me via IM or notecard in world. Please make sure you put the transaction information (found here) and don’t forget to put your FULL name on the notecard.

Q: Can I have a refund/exchange?

A: No - unless you’ve accidentally purchased duplicates of the same item. Refunds are not possible because you can’t return the item to me.

Q: I’d like to buy a gift for someone. What are my options?

A: If you’d like to send a gift, you have two options:

1) You can have the product delivered directly to the avatar your want to give a gift to. To do this, please send me an IM or notecard to me (Nyte Caligari) with the following info: avatar name the gift goes to, the outfit name and color, any special message. Please also send me payment for the outfit(s) when you contact me for delivery.
2) I also have a lot of my items listed on xstreet, a site that can deliver items to any avatar of your choice.

Q: Can I work at Nyte’N'Day? Can I model for Nyte’N'Day?

A: Nyte’N'Day is no longer hiring customer service reps. I appreciate that lots of you guys out there want to model, but, I don’t use models for product ads simply because its so much more efficient to use myself. However, if you’re interested in being a model for the big posters you see throughout Nyte’N'Day stores, please check out the on-going poster contest for more info. Thanks for your interest!

Q: I’d like to review something on my blog from Nyte’N'Day!

Q: REBAKING: Help! My shirt/pants/jacket/etc is all messed up looking!! The textures went all wonky!

A: In the majority of cases “rebaking” your textures will fix any issues with how your clothing is being displayed in SL.

How to rebake:
a) You’ll need to have your client/server menu’s displayed. If you don’t see it at the top of your screen beside “help” press: control, alt, D (mac - control, option, D) all at the same time.
b) Now go to Client/Character/Rebake Textures.

Q: I can’t make this prim/sculpty fit me! Can you help me?

A: Please see this page for a tutorial on fitting your prim attachments.

Q: My prim attachment (like a skirt or collar) doesn’t match/stands out/looks different. Help?

A: Because SL can look vastly different from computer to computer, you may have to tint (or un-tint) the prim attachment with grey. To do so: right click on the prim and select edit from the pie menu, then go to the texture tab, click the ‘color’ box to change the tint. Use whatever shade of grey looks best to you.

Q: What’s the scripted skirts mean? What’s the *SD* in my skirts name mean?

A: This means your skirt is scripted with SensiDress. What that means is the skirt is scripted to be more natural. Rather then going through your legs when you sit, the script will position the skirt correctly. When you walk - the script will position the skirt so that it doesn’t drag behind you as unscripted prim skirts tend to do. To adjust or get help with the skirt - click on it while worn.

Q: My scripted skirt looks very very odd when I’m on a poseball/danceball. What’s up with that??

A: Yea - it’ll do that. The poseball works by making your avatar “sit” on it - in essence the script can’t tell the difference between when your really sitting or sitting on something that’s playing an animation. To fix this, click on the prim skirt to turn it off. Otherwise, you can just wear the unscripted skirt.

Q: Seriously, I hate no transfer! Why isn’t your stuff transferable??

A: Well, you see, I used to sell my items as transfer and actually was kinda an advocate about it. I felt strongly that a customer should be able to pass on their purchase, if they wanted to. However, in 2007 transactions started to fail, then they started to fail more, then it was a daily thing, then it was multiple times daily thing, then stuff would vanish directly from inventories, etc. I made the decision that it was necessary to go ‘no transfer’ to protect myself and the customer. Due to this Nyte’N'Day has a “no questions asked” replacement policy as long as there is a transaction record.

Q: Can you put my vendor/poster/ad/kiosk/etc. in your store?

A: Nyte’N'Day houses only Nyte’N'Day related items.

Q: You didn’t even answer my IM!?

A: I do try my best to answer every customer comment/question. So if I haven’t IMed you back, something went wrong. Please drop a notecard/IM on me again.
